Pretty self explanatory.

Let's start with a depressing one.

10-15 years from now, just about all of the truly A-list rock legends will be dead.

80 years old:
Bob Dylan.

79 years old:
Paul McCartney
Paul Simon
Art Garfunkel
Brian Wilson

78 years old:
Mick Jagger

77 years old:
Keith Richards
Jimmy Page
Roger Daltrey
Roger Waters

76 years old:
Pete Townshend
Rod Stewart
Eric Clapton
Debbie Harry

75 years old:
David Gilmour
Neil Young

74 years old:
Elton John

72 years old:
Bruce Springsteen
Billy Joel

So get ready for that.

That's a pretty downbeat start, admittedly. But any comment or idea or thought that comes to mind that doesn't warrant its own thread, or probably doesn't have the legs for one - have at it.

Matt Brown was in the audience when Dimebag died.

Sad, crazy day, must've been really really shockingly unexpected.

Here's how I cope: for example, when David Bowie died, I spent two whole days listening to his records.
I'll do that with every one that goes. I've got hundreds of hours of Bob's music and that'll be a tough one. Music is the best though.

Is that a cupcake?

I did not know. Huh. I suppose all things are possible, if one accepts the multiverse idea. Indeed, all things do happen in some Universe of similitude.
He flew Priscilla to Germany to live with him aged 14 then married her when she was 16.

I lay in bed trying to sleep last night and instead thought about how in the civilized world, no one is truly independent.

Even a man like Ted Kaczynski, who went off to live in the woods to escape civilization, wasn't independent.

He didn't make the clothes he wore; he didn't make the rifle he hunted with; he didn't make the tools he used to do naughty things.

Unless you're wearing leaves and trapping, spearing, or growing your food, you're dependent.

Not only does OP strive to match and surpass all your pink records, now he also basically opens a community chit chat thread.

This is a direct attack if I ever saw one

If it's true that all roads lead to rome,
then all roads lead away from rome as well.

Less than 24 hours later, Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts died. Age 80.
