here's Bill Bellicheat mentioning that a bunch of staff and players for The Patriots have been vaccinated are testing positive.

I thought Pfizer said this vaccine was really really great against the Delta variant.

How do we know the number of breakthrough cases if they aren't being reported?

Rogan's taken his fair share of hormones and tranquilizers intended for horses, his bro-body will respond well to his bro-science
It's just been funny to watch

Joe Rogan: "I took "lists *800 things* and I'm feeling good now."

Media: "Joe Rogan says take horse dewormer instead of vaccine"

i thought Splinty @Splinty or someone posted research results from Pfizer (or someone) with good efficacy against spread AND bad COVID
I missed that but I'm not surprised. But things change and I'm under the impression that the data isn't being recorded and tracked effectively.

These sports teams are being tracked pretty closely. I'm sure they are being encouraged to take all precautions because positive cases will hit them in the pocketbook. They are still getting quite a few positives and are spreading it to each other.

I'm not trying to make this a bigger issue than it is. I would just feel better if someone was monitoring breakthrough cases more closely.

Philip R. Krause, M.D., is one of the FDA people retiring. This is an article he published in June.
Also, co-authored by Marion Gruber the other FDA retiree.

No idea but I thought about this weird strategy of killing off your base for short term gain. Seems counter productive
Another two years of this, another couple of hundred thousand MAGA morons killing themselves to own the libs, and it could actually make a difference in swing states.

This article is a joke- "RedState"? And the sources cited (with nothing quoted, BTW) are even worse.

Here's the "editor's note" at the end of the article LOL:

"Support RedState's conservative reporting on Joe Biden's radical, leftist "America Last" Agenda."

?
Did you expect a link to a source that wasn't straight up lying garbage?

Just be thankful that - unlike sparkuri's sources - Red State doesn't have any articles on the front page whose headlines expose the secret plans of the, quote, "Washington Post Jews".

"Destroy the lives"

No sense of proportion anymore. Ffs, "destroy the lives".
"Destroy the lives".

What a bunch of utter pussies.

The government is literally saying "just stay home for a bit, watch Netflix and catch up on stuff around the house, order deliveries, and we'll pay you for it."

Want to talk about "destroyed lives"? Talk to the loved ones of 660,000 Americans who died of covid.

Well, I understand the argument: bankrupting x% of the people to save y%. My own sister's business has suffered badly. But our father died from complications, and her mother in law directly.
So she's got her sense of proportion correct. She knows as well as anyone that a life being destroyed isn't the same thing as financial suffering and inconvenience.
People don't like to make arguments anymore without being hyperbolic.

Yep.

Sorry about your father. Obviously that is an infinitely greater loss than the missing revenue in your sister's company.

Still haven't seen the misplaced priorities illustrated more clearly than in this cartoon:

the issue wasnt the lockdowns per se. it was the lockdowns without the social safety net that other countries employed

because america is all about corrupt capitalism. screw the people. and print money for banks and big business

Not all about capitalism. There are examples of things that aren't driven by capitalism.

the reason UBI is not a thing, let alone during shutdown, is because politicians were focused on funneling money to corporations, not individuals

other countries paid people during the shutdowns, as they should have

america blows
