Those experimental monoclonal antibodies seem to work. Oscar should have skipped the line like Joe and just used his wealth to get a limited supply monoclonal antibody the rest of us don't qualify.
Now he's in the hospital and it's not authorized for use there.
I realize you don't make policy, but can you think of any reason that they haven't received some sort of EUA? It was almost a year ago they were dumping them into El Presidente and as you point out they seem to be an effective treatment.

Like Joe Rogan Florida leadership going for the "I don't think I trust this experimental vaccine for 60 bucks, but I will go ahead and take this experiment antibody for 2000" strategy.

Yes. It's one of the few things with consistent outcomes. It's just in limited supply and unfortunately also expensive.
It's a good tool but represents a highly reactive stance if not coupled with vaccination.

I understand, but it occurs to me that if you're dealing with a population who for whatever reason is vaccine hesitant, it offers a reasonable alternative. Everyone who gets vaccinated runs the risk of side effects, not everyone who is unvaccinated will get covid. To be hoenst, I'm shocked it took Rogan this long to get it. He's been a close contact with a gang of cases.
