I dig that a lot, bro. Smooth.
Always been a fan of horns in rock.
I agree about the horns.

not sure who these guys are, popped up as a recommendation on Spotify. But think I’ll check out the album now. I dig funky instrumentals like this.

Sounds so East Bay Ray. Love those full sounding barre chords.
I saw this fellow back in the day, early 90's probably. Great sound.
I saw them once here in Austin. I had a buddy that used to work at Jesse James car restoration shop and they hosted a party where Rev played in the parking lot. Was a pretty fun show. Can’t remember for sure, but that may have been during SXSW a number of years ago now.

He's one of those artists who've never gotten their due, playing to smaller crowds than they deserve.

To be totally honest, I probably wouldn’t have paid much attention if my bud hadn’t invited us. There’s a lot going on during SXSW so it’s easy to lose stuff in the mix. But it was pretty damn good, and they were full energy for a relatively small crowd. I’d guess there were only about 150 people there.

That was my experience as well.
One of those acts I've heard that a lot of bands couldn't touch.

If you've ever heard Slim Cessna's Auto Club, it's like that: too good for the small crowds they attract.

Roy is unquestionably one of the all time greats. Incredible talent.

You familiar with Lenny Breau? I made a thread about him somewhere on here several years ago. Lenny is my all time favorite guitarist, was so goddam good.

Here is a live version of him covering Jerry Reed's "The Claw", with a couple minutes of freestyle in the middle.
