America is substantially reducing poverty among children

The Biden administration’s biggest success has not received enough attention
Recent modelling by scholars at Columbia University estimates that in July child poverty was 41% lower than normal.
I'm all for kids getting fed, but he didn't fix shit.

The bennies moved them above whatever level they calculate as "child poverty".

Every single one of his "Hooray for us!" successes can be attributed to manipulation via smoke and mirrors. And dem sweet, sweet bennies.

You mean to tell me that if somebody gives you money it might mean not being in poverty!?!

I'm going to vote for UBI every chance I can until his head explodes.
I'm not exactly opposed to UBI if it means turning off all the other broken gov't assistance programs that do nothing but give its beneficiaries just enough to keep their head above water.

I mean, If you create a social system that provides basic level of income such that That's the lowest level you can fall, you have solved poverty
Until inflation rises the tide and they don't float on up with it.

"Back to square one. Sorry poor people - we actually didn't improve anything"

Meet the same boss. Same as the old boss.

If I move a dollar from a rich person and give it to a poor person, that's not creating a new dollar, where does the inflation come from? The fact that they are more likely to spend it since your first dollars always go to basic living and get spent before savings?

Stand alone UBI, you are probably correct - assuming that $1 is actually coming from rich folk and not just *more* printed money. Which given our history, is a pretty big assumption.

But bennies-for-all that hinders labor supply and cripples the supply line? Different story.

Is Mississippi? Georgia? Alabama? Louisiana?!?
Lots of smokin hot chicks in those states.
Just don't get too far from the mid-major cities.

One needs only to look at the crowd shots at any SEC game on ESPN to know your hangup against the deep south is unfounded.

If the legal tax law results in deductions such that the rich paid little to no taxes, then in fact the rich are not taxed.

Go ahead, just admit AOC is right
They are taxed.

But if you have money and the know-how, income is easily protected. It's not always illegal, but I do consider it a loophole.
