Holms best(only?) strategy is to jump in a time machine and either go back in time 3 years, or forward in time 10, and then fight Ronda.

Yeah, she cant pressure Ronda, as soon as she does, it'll initiaite a clinch and then game over, she has to jab and run for 25 min

She's just head and shoulders above anyone else not named Cyborg. She's a victim of her own success.
i was just watching the ronda/tate from the tuf finale (i think?). tate was standing...had ronda on the mat. ronda backrolled to stand up. never seen that happen before.plus her mean muggin' during her walk out is tough as shit. felt a little like joe rogan for a minute. my ronda love was gushing.
Hahaha could be right my man
and i'm a sister .just so you know. :)

She needs to use Conor's gameplan. Hit hard at a distance, tie up Rousey on the ground in guard and wear her down. Rousey has only been out of the first round once and she started to gas by the third. Holm has superior cardio IMHO. Try to drag the fight into later rounds.

Unfortunately for her, even a perfect gameplan is unlikely to get her the win. She simply doesn't have the skillset to beat Ronda.

The problem with Holm is that while she has the superior hands and stand up, she doesn't have much pop in her punches. She's feather fisted, there's nothing she can do about it, it can't be changed.

I don't think she has the punching power to keep Ronda honest, and if Ronda has no fear of her power then there's nothing stopping her from charging in with her own haymakers and clinch attempts.

I also think she needs to hold her at distance, frustrate her, and pick her spots. But I don’t think she will be able too. Ronda will clinch it up and go from there, unless she tries to box it out a while. And we will see how that goes.
Either way, Holm is more dangerous than Bethe, but this matchup is to soon for her to win in my opinion as well. Her training camp sounds promising, but, I don't think it will be enough.
What I am hoping for though is, that this fight goes on for a while, and Holly will be able to learn a lot. Then become better and be able to challenge her seriously down the road. I mean, at this point, nobody in the division is able to make you ready for Ronda, except Ronda.
Getting thrown to her might not be a bad thing after all.
Holly is 34 years old. There's not going to be another title shot down the road. That's one of the reasons she's getting her chance now. She's close to being considered old by MMA standards and it could be argued she was past her prime when she started MMA.

Your argument is valid, but, unless she catches some nasty injury, I think there can be another run.
Boxers are known to train a bit smarter and have longer careers. And you can argue she has less wear and tear from grappling training.
I don't know her injury history though, surely plays a role as well.

I don't think Ronda is going to be around long enough for Holm to get a rematch if she loses, unless it's one of those tooth and nail split decisions where people demand an immediate rematch.

she technically knows what she's doing....it seemed to me her fights were like a sparring session..but i think you're right, it's that she doesn't have power in her punches. which is kinda funny..because she makes sound effects as if her punches were devastating. i had to mute her last fight...got annoying real quick.
