So, I've found myself going directly to off topic forum every time, nearly forgetting Cage side even exists.

Is this happening with you?

Is Off-topic THE place to be?

I usually just start with my notifications and get sidetracked before long. As it gets closer to an event, I spend more time Cageside. And I try to keep an eye on the Introduction forum.

But yeah, Off Topic is the place to be!

Yeah, I've been a bit slack with my MMA news lately, after a while the watered down cards take there toll, I usually touch base with bleacher report and mma junkie, but whereas I used to listen to a few mma podcasts religiously, i don't anymore. Maybe this weekends event will give me some enthusiasm again.

Ya, to be honest the mma news and discussion thing just doesn't do it for me like it did a few years ago. I check in quickly and read a bunch of thread titles and usually get pulled into browsing a couple, but unless there is big news happening in the fight world I am pretty much going to be found tripping around the off-topic playground. I find I enjoy hearing about the lives of my peers more than the lives of the fighters these days. Not to mention all of the cool and funny shit that is posted from around the world!

Yeah, I don't seem to have time to keep up with the hours of podcasts anymore. I pretty much just come here and Reddit for MMA news. If it's exciting, it will make it here or there.

I was conditioned to avoid the UG due to all the assholes and just read the OG (until that also became full of assholes). It's a little strange, even now, enjoying reading a MMA discussion board.

Yeah that happened to me, the ug was a cess pool of down votes, whereas, the OG was just banter for a while but even that became a cesspool. Thank god for this place. I know its had a steep learning curve, but what the mods have done here is brilliant and there in an impossible position when it comes to disputes.

We've been needing a big MMA event to kickstart things again in Cageside. UFC 193 should fit the bill. I expect the fight thread to be fun.

I spend time on both like y'all. But yeah I like interacting with you fine people in the OT. So I'm probably 60/40 in favor of the the off-topic.

The other place I seldom go has way more traffic in their off-topic board. I don't to there to discuss mma at all.

I must have missed out on the drama while I was away, but I normally just quickly browse through that stuff, have a giggle and move on never to return.
it got nasty at times, but we also had some laughs between the shit. it needed to be ended when it was. it turned into whole pages of fuckery, and childish attacks.

I usually check my notifications, then the BJJ/Grappling sub forum, peruse cageside and then wind up here in off topic reading threads I can't quite figure out why I care enough to read, but yet can't stop

Since there's been quite a few watered down events, I find my self on the off topic mostly.

Used to listen to various mma podcasts, ariels show, read the sites and the forums, watch pre and post fighter interviews, the fight, the post fight radio show on Sherdog.

Now i am content with a butt 2 butt story by Chief @Chief :sunglasses:

Need more MMA before we all turn on ourselves again. It was Lord of the Flies here for a while.
