Probably just omicron.
Most every other map in the western world looks like that right now with vastly different policies between each.

Also lol at cases now being flipped as a metric to skewer policies when cases only matter In regards the hospitalizations and hospitalizations only really matter in regards to total resource ability.

It's also worth noting just how low those overall numbers are, even with the spike.

6000?

*Laughs in Texas*
Texas has 7 times the population of Australia.

On the one hand cases show how bad everything is.
Next tweet, see silly cases are nothing why are their leaders focusing on them.

Also Dr = phd in computer science.

I then found this:

What's really interesting is just how much Australia has been politicized. Googling is just about worthless. What's their case fatality ratio compared to ours? It's difficulty to even find accurate info on their current policy. Is the spike with omicron during removal of mask mandates and gathering restrictions as people are posting on twitter? Or did omicron punch through it? It's difficulty to verify.

Miesha's Taint @Miesha's Taint wtf are yall doing down there? Can you go to the shops, restaurants, etc? Things closed or open? Is it by state?

Both things can be true depending on the context.

Ie: If you say "The goal is 0 cases" and cases go to the moon, your policies may deserve to be mocked. On the other hand, if cases are high, but the actual negative effects are low and there's an extreme focus on case count, that also deserves to be mocked.
