When I was younger (I didn’t live in Greenacres at the time but knew it), I seriously thought they were one and the same.

The Denver area is getting a bit of snow.
Had an ambient temperature of -18 with a 60 kph wind that made it feel like a balmy -39 today.
It was colder than yesterday when it warmed up to -18, snowed 6” and fucked ip all the roads in town.
Tomorrow the ambient nighttime temperature will be -36. Which means that with the windchill we will be hitting temps of -45 to -55.

It was cooler for a few days and now it’s boiling for the rest of the week. I just want cool weather - mid-40s-50s, ~7-12C.

Supposed to get 3 to 6 inches here tomorrow. The locals are already asking "what if I can't make it to work?". Lmao

But for real, same deal around here. We get a few inches and the city shuts down cuz no one is prepared. AWD SUVs all over the place down here yet no one can drive in -3 and a couple inches of snow.
i just moved to Oregon from Cali, plenty of winter for me

I'm from that lake effect snow area of michigan. Kentucky is full of pussies. Bunch of rednecks with four wheel drive, and an inch shuts my kids school down.
That’s how it was when I lived in the southern part of VA.
@Willthiswork knows exactly what I mean. Clearly it’s like that still, in all parts of VA, as proven yesterday (or the other day? My days are running together).

It's crazy. In 2016, we had a michigan snow day, and it shut my city down for a week. It melted before they figured out what to do with 10 inches.That’s how it was when I lived in the southern part of VA.

Saw a bunch of fallen trees on the edges of the road yesterday on the trip to the pacific ocean ana back last night
Had chainsaw in back but didn't wanna use it unless necessary, pretty dangerous windey drive .
The sheer panic is entertaining because they have absolutely no idea how to manage any snow. Meanwhile, my sister in CT said they got like 3ish inches between the time she woke up and the time she left the house for work this morning and it was no biggie.

I'm not a rich man. ? lol
I am not rich either, but I have a leased 2021 CX5 because I want the safety for my mini-me (and an SUV for my giant dog). I barely leave my house now that I work from home, other than taking him to school and the occasional grocery store run. The goal is migrating away from FL so I’m sure the AWD will help in the long run when I move somewhere icy/snowy.

My mom had a 90s ford fiesta in michigan, and we always made it safe. It's all dependent on the driver, and experience. Tires don't hurt. Lol
Hey, I will never knock a Ford. My dad is driving a 1992 Explorer and it’s still kicking, somehow. It’s beat to hell, but he’s had it 16 years. I can’t drive it because the seat doesn’t move and I can’t reach the clutch since I’m so short. The man loves it and I bet it would be a beast in the snow.
