I already said it's furthering a NATO recruitment. You said that's not true and it's EU recruitment. So I asked you why America is so heavily involved in a European matter.

It doesn't make sense for nato to recruit Ukraine. Its certainly not in the UK, France, Germany et al interest. They offer nothing.
There is a strategic importance in using Ukraine as a vessel for a pipe line from UAE. But that is about it. Turkey has more chance of joining the EU than them but that's what is being dangled.
And the pipeline is what is making Putin moist.
Its about gas. Simple as.
If this was an EU issue about gas, NATO wouldn't be openly trying to recruit and America wouldn't give a flying fuck. America wants to do in the Ukraine what Russia did in Cuba. Russia, understandably doesn't want that so they're saying if America doesn't fuck off they'll just take over Ukraine themselves. If memory serves outside of the installed government, Ukrainians don't generally care all that much. They haven't forgotten that they were part of Russia.
Always remember, NATO was founded to fuck with Russia.

The soviet expansion was the reason for nato. They created it basically.
America is involved because if Russia does take Ukraine which it won't. It can't. But if it did try then the nato allies such as Poland et Al would be very worried.
