LOL @ "Ordinary Americans"
we could go down a complete list of american politicians and find "Suspicious ass-deep connections" on both sides so deep most would shit themselves but nope just TDS TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP TRUMP ORANGE MAN BAD and he's been gone for over a year
He hasn't "been gone for over a year", he is still the dominant figure in the Republican Party.

Both sides suck ass water
just my opinion, they all need to answer for their dirty dealings
Great, well start by calling for these cunts to answer for their actions on and before Jan 6. Let's get some answers as to exactly which elected officials did exactly what, and exactly who they were in contact with.

People want to "defund" the police when we should be defunding our political system
Politicians should be paid more.

Defund your political system? Great little chant. What does that look like, exactly?

i've seen you do this to people on different threads, and i get a kick out of it
Politics is just another opinion. It's not the defining aspect of whether or not you're a good person. When I get married later this year, one of my groomsmen will be an unvaccinated conspiracy fan who thinks that Trump is funny and wants him to be POTUS again. So what? I'd give that guy the shirt off my back if he needed it, and he would do the same for me.

US Capitol attack committee plans April hearings to show how Trump broke law

The panel alleged in a court filing on Wednesday that Trump and his associates obstructed Congress and conspired to defraud the United States on 6 January, arguing it meant the former Trump lawyer John Eastman could not shield thousands of emails from the inquiry.

But the public hearings – which are likely to come late next month, the chair of the select committee, Bennie Thompson, told the Guardian – will address just how Trump came to interfere with the joint session of Congress through rhetoric he knew to be false or unlawful.

“The president’s rhetoric persuaded thousands of Americans to travel to Washington for January 6, some of whom marched on the Capitol, breached security, and took other illegal actions. The select committee’s hearings will address those issues in detail,” the filing said.

The panel also said in its court submission that the public hearings would address how Trump appeared to lay the groundwork for his rhetoric inciting the Capitol attack by promoting claims of election fraud in the 2020 election that he had been told were without merit.

“Despite being repeatedly told his allegations of campaign fraud were false, the President continued to feature those same false allegations in ads seen by millions,” the filing said. “The select committee will address these issues in detail in hearings this year.”

The select committee indicated the public hearings would serve as the opportunity to cast a light on Trump’s secret efforts to overturn the election, from his attempts to pressure the then vice-president, Mike Pence, to return him to office, to abuse of the justice department.

“We want to paint a picture as clear as possible as to what occurred,” Thompson told reporters on Capitol Hill on Thursday. “The public needs to know what to think. We just have to show clearly what happened on January 6.”

Thompson said that the select committee has witnesses who have volunteered to testify before the panel in public hearings, though he did not specify whether they included former Trump administration officials or Capitol attack rioters who had been charged.

Idaho Man Sentenced to 51 Months in Prison For Assaulting Law Enforcement and Obstruction in Capitol Breach

Duke Edward Wilson, 67, of Nampa, Idaho, was sentenced today to 51 months in prison for assaulting a law enforcement officer and other actions during the breach of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, which disrupted a joint session of the U.S. Congress that was in the process of ascertaining and counting the electoral votes for the presidential election.

According to court documents, Wilson went to the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6 wearing a dark-colored jacket with a long-sleeved blue shirt underneath and a purple and white baseball hat that read, “CNN,” with the words, “FAKE NEWS” underneath it. He entered the Lower West Terrace tunnel area of the U.S Capitol Building shortly before 3 p.m. At that time, the crowd was pushing against law enforcement officers in efforts to enter the building, while spraying liquid irritants toward the officers as they pushed on the officers’ shields.

Wilson made his way to the front line of the crowd, and as officers tried to close a set of double doors, he grabbed for them and tried to pull the door open. He then raised what appeared to be a tablet device to deflect the liquid irritant officers were spraying at the crowd. Wilson then picked up a several feet long white cylindrical object, believed to be a thin polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe, and indiscriminately used it to strike at the officers, hitting one. Wilson then raised the object above his head and threw it into the line of officers. As the confrontation continued, he also assisted others in attempting to pull a shield away from an officer. During a struggle over the shield, he pushed an officer to the ground and then joined others in pushing another officer.

Tarrant County men arrested after feds say they fought with police at Capitol on Jan. 6
Donald Hazard, 43, of Hurst, and Lucas Denney, 44, of Mansfield, were arrested and accused of assaulting officers during the Jan. 6 insurrection. The two men, whom the FBI says were members of a militia group, are the latest North Texans to be charged in connection with case.
…………..
Denney grabbed and shoved a police officer before trying to grab a canister of “crowd-control spray” from a different officer, authorities said.

“Then he picked up a long metal pole from the ground, which he swung at that officer,” the Justice Department said in a news release.

Denney and another rioter also allegedly grabbed “a large tube” and “launched it” toward a line of police officers who were guarding the west side of the Capitol building.

Denney then moved to the area of the Lower West Terrace and entered the tunnel entrance carrying a “baton or stick,” according to court records.

“Denney participated in ‘heave-ho’ efforts to advance into the building and at one point, on the steps leading up to the Capitol building, he swung his arm and fist at an officer, pulling the officer further down the stairs outside the building,” authorities said.
