Seems like thanks to the Germans and Paris saying no, and the fan's reactions.
I can get the Spanish clubs with high debt betraying their fans to keep afloat. Their owners are afraid to size down like they should, they lived way beyond their means long before covid 19 was a thing.
The Italians are in weird situations as well but the Milanese clubs have private owners I believe? And they've been pretty irrelevant lately to boot.
But the English have no reason to say they would die if this didn't happen. Nothing but utter Greed by the owners was driving them. Shame on them.
One part of me would have liked this to go on and totally crash. But for football it's great it doesn't happen.
It was not about history nor recent success in Europe. Otherwise Benfica and Porto should be in there, Arsenal, Tottenham and especially City not. Hell, Nottingham has more cups than Chelsea.

If I remember that episode correctly, Q's son goes to Seven of Nine's workstation and makes her clothes disappear. Seven of Nine responds to this by not giving a single fuck.
I've still got a couple of episodes to go. And I bailed at it at first as it's not really star trek the way it's knows. But I'm enjoying Picard now I'm watching it proper. And without reading too much in case of spoilers I saw that Q is set to be in the second season.

Apparently Q will show up in season 2 of Picard. After some massive tragedy. My guess is he goes rogue and teams up with Picard to stop the Q continuum from killing everything

Picard is what is happening if you let a senile actor and hacks run the show. The character simply is another guy and the writing is bonkers.
Only the last Data scene has impact imo.
But I constantly had in mind that Geordi was Data's friend, Picard more often than not was a dick to Data and certainly did not form a close bond with him - nor most others of the crew for that matter. Here the premise of the show is that they were best friends and have that crazy special connection. Ugh.
Where is Geordi?
Discovery is also run by hacks and a horrible soap-opera with a lot of overboarding special effects to cover it up.
Main character doesn't work and cannot carry a show, and if you noticed: changed considerably.
Season one (s)he was Vulcan-like and boring. There is a reason Spock and Data were side characters, because they work as such.
After season one (s)he becomes an emotional mess that is boring. They try to bring across meaning now by having Michael cry constantly. It's cheap, dumb and I don't care.
They have some interesting characters and angles on the show here and there, but overall it's shit.
La forge will be in the second season I'm sure. I'm hoping Janeway is in it too now that Q is involved. Iirc she was invited to join the Q. We will see, but they should let good writers write the show, not Patrick Stewart, or it will be another mess.
