It was a perfectly mundane, normal exchange. If I am going to encourage my wife to whore herself out to every man in the neighorhood, then I don't want some cunt coming along and calling her a pig in front of the world. Could seriously limit the amount of strange dick she can snatch up.

A guy who’s made a living making fun of people. Will thought it was funny until he caught his wife’s facial expressions. Don’t sit front row at a comedy act if you can’t handle the chance of being apart of the show.

That’s indeed a casual walk up to somebody with both his hands down. No verbal warnings, quick steppin or stare down. Nobody made any attempt to stop or distract Will on his way up because nobody thought he would slap Chris over that joke. To be clear here Im in no way a fan of Chris Rock. Only thing he ever did I actually liked was CB4. I bet the guy has told thousands of jokes to millions of people and to the best of my knowledge he’s never been smacked while on stage. I don’t know what Chris thought was gonna happen but I bet it wasn’t that. If Chris had took some sort of defensive posture or started to apologize that would admit that the joke was over the top which it was not. He stood there waiting for Will for to try and make the Oscars about him and took that slap best as possible.

Chris handled the whole thing amazingly well.
He didn't overreact and kept the show going like a professional. I heard he even went out after the whole thing to console Will who was crying like crazy.

Seems like Jada has gaslighted Will.

I have watched this video ten thousand times. There is no world in which I'm standing there like Chris once I saw Will's face and saw him get up, but once he realized what was up he braced for it because he's been slapped a lot. In fact, he made a whole tv series about getting the F beat out of him. He clearly didn't believe it was possible because of the venue, but he and the world learned a valuable lesson that you can catch it anywhere from anyone, which he shouldn't have forgotten.

Chris is laughing when Will gets up and approaches him, so is the audience up until the slap. I mean Will Smith is the pretty clean guy rapping about he don’t need to swear and gives acceptance speaches about loving people is somebody life time comedians should worry about getting slapped by at the Oscar’s? Over a rather harmless joke? I think that’s one of the things I can’t get, we’re talking alopecia. This isn’t a AIDS joke pointed at Sir Elton ffs. It was a bald joke aimed at a bald woman who’s had a lot of short hair styles. If that’s the line in the sand for the Smith then simply lol.
