Are you suggesting that went well?

I can't always dissociate from when you are being sarcastic or just a moron.
For a country of 320 million with the geographical area you guys have it was an extremely well done roll out. I’m sure you think someone you own stock in would have done a better job.

As someone who lives here and went through trying to get several seniors scheduled and vaxed, I can assure you the early stages were an absolute clusterfuck.

Nothing screams "success" like having a product with the biggest marketing campaign in world history and less than half of the people want anything to do with it until you start passing laws they have to get it, and even then a bunch of them don't get it.

Your anecdotal experience aside, the program was absolutely a logistical success, administering millions of doses a week. You see, what happened was that you had a limited SUPPLY of the vaccine and open spots at first, with an outsized DEMAND. This scarcity is normal. You should understand that.

So what's the measure of "success"? Vax rollout was a clusterfuck failure. Shit, they had to steal our vaccines, lol.

The logistical operation of actually dispersing, administrating and recording the doses across a massive land mass with a massive population.
Except they didn't. They didn't have the vaccines or have to give them out to everyone.

How about the postal service?
Fed-Ex and UPS eat their lunch.
They both cost considerably more than the postal service. Also, Congress has required that the post office fund benefits for retirees decades in advance. That is they must fund retirements for workers they haven't even hired yet.
It is actually a scheme design to make the post office less efficient and less solvent to highlight how bad it is ironically.

But it is a pretty good analogy outside of that recent change. The post office is cheap and gives a basic service that isn't the best but provides delivery to rural areas at a very reasonable cost. For those of us that have yacht money there is UPS and FedEx where we can drop extra coin if we need to. And the post office existence doesn't seem to have stopped FedEx and UPS from competing in the marketplace. The only thing the post office has done is make sure that UPS and FedEx Don't hold a duopoly they can abuse because there's always a cheap force setting a baseline.

Your anecdotal experience aside, .
My anecdotal experience lines up with quite literally the entire population and the issues that were had across the country.

Honestly I prefer Monaco*

*i have never been to Monaco
I was planning to go to the Grand Prix in Monaco next year But now it looks like we're getting a Las Vegas night race and that somehow seems a lot more fun

F1 in Vegas?
Talk about a clash of cultures. They should do it through Fremont Street for optimal lulz.
