The point is that there's no correlation between "firearm access laws" and violent crime, for a lot of reasons.
If such a correlation existed, it would be widely known by now. You didn't rewrite violent crime statistics when you cherry-picked one state (which is still Top 15 for Violent Crime) as an example.

Other factors are far more relevant.
We are not talking violent crime in this thread we are talking gun violence/gun homicides/mass shooting rates.. which California scores low in when compared to the rest of America.

Fact is, someone is much less likely to be shot in a mass shooting in California than they are in other parts of America.

because you have to be mentally ill to kill dozens of children or stand outside the door while children are murdered?

seems that mentally defective cops and mentally defective killers add up to horrible scenes like this or Parkland...

They've always been mentally ill though.

Why now do you wish to bring free health care in now? Surely it would be cheaper to have gun control?

And why stop at free mental health care for mentally unstable shooters? What about physical free health care for the person who has been shot by these people.

This is the most retarded excuse I've heard and I remember the one door excuse.

and also more likely to be a victim of violent crime or murdered than in 70% of the rest of country.

so when you talk about "gun laws", it's obviously important to consider the other unintended consequences, right?

because "gun control" is a myth and mental health is a social problem of such magnitude.

FWIW, i've always been about expanding access to mental health - i just don't think a national single payer solution is cost-effective.

Wrong. As a stats guy, I thought you would notice the national average per capita and then apply that to California instead of just noting it as 15th on the list. California is pretty much on par with the American average for violent crime.

Let's do the opposite, and treat every woman who wants an abortion like an adult capable of making decisions for themselves.

why is the solution to baby everybody?
Pretty simple. It's not actually a solution. The individual who posted that wants women to he able to have unfettered access to abortions. He's just making up strawmen. He was a fun filmmaker for a while though, so maybe that counts for something.

Its just pointing out the ridiculous imbalance of rights and priorities from the right wing nuts.

so their restrictive gun laws have had no meaningful impact on their violent crime rates?
Look at you dance in circles to avoid acknowledging California is doing something right to reduce mass shooting deaths.. and those stats point to the strict gun laws being effective.

more people die, but fewer by guns so everything is great?

homicide and violent crime rates are Top15. California is "squeezing the balloon", at best. They haven't addressed crime, they've made it worse.

so the solution is to make everything worse for everybody?

I see this a lot, it doesn't make sense to me.

I think you should be able to defend your marijuana garden from anti-abortionists with crew-serviced weapons.
