A lot of people change when they are MoDs too. It breaks them. Plus you are sort of held to a higher standard and expected to semi behave. Fuck that. I think the current clutch of MoDs do well.I give the mods shit, and post memes suggesting they are all gae, but they have a nearly impossible job here.
If they don't enforce the rules, they get called out for allowing trolling and abuse on the forums. If they give repeated pinks for infractions, they get called out because the posters just come back afterwards and do the same thing over and over. If they permaban a repeat offender, they get called out on threads like this.
I would absolutely hate to have to try to moderate this place, it's the definition of a thankless task. For that reason, I cannot sign this petition.
I will, however, post my thanks to the mods.

Why did you take him off ignore? If you took him off to give it another chance and he was still a cunt to you, why didn’t you put him back on ignore?
Your problem would have been solved right there, but now we have a wedge driven through the community.
Cmnh had the biggest ignore list of all time. He tried to use the features of the forum. I've ignored people in the past because they were irritating me.

When we were building the constitution there was discussion of an adjudication process for bans with votes and the like, but it was ultimately left to admin discretion. Those high minded days of deliberation and democracy seem like a lost dream. CMNH is our Rosa Luxemburg.

Maybe some of my previous posts weren’t clear. I HATED when he made unnecessarily aggressive comments and unproportional responses when arguing. I just don’t feel like the ban was justified for this incident. People can go on and on about his history/pattern, but the decision to boot him is not justified by the exchange in question and I believe people putting him on ignore would have been a better choice.
I really don't know regarding your previous posts. I haven't been following the drama, just clicked on this page & responded to that statement regarding the "wedge".
Regarding that, he was on ignore in my case, as well as several others.
People get quoted & tagged, then they have the option to see the quoted posts.

Fully agree with this. He should have. I think that needs to happen more often here to avoid the toxicity. That is exactly why so many members joined here in the first place - to get away from the relentless negativity of other mma forums. I also wish people would simply choose not to pursue debates on polarizing subjects.
