It has already been linked but here it is again. A brief summary is that the story is about a 10 year old girl being denied an abortion and who is to blame for that. I said the rapist should be blamed. Beard questioned whether she was raped as the story never mentioned it, implying the 10 year old girl may have consented. He then doubled down on it by sarcastically saying, "A kid has never, ever done something they shouldn't have." Truly disgusting comments.
General - The Supreme Court has overturned Roe vs Wade.
She is 10. Pretty sure the "it was consensual" is out the window. And if names aren't disclosed I don't see where the doctor has violated anything. I'm not saying it isn't made up as it fits perfectly in line with the whole "This is how dumb this is" scenario, but there are an awful lot of news...

I've tried not to engage him because we previously got along but his posting has become more and more asinine. @BeardOfKnowledge. Luckily no one reads this place and we have anonymous SNs. He would never condone child rape, maybe it was awkwardly worded and not a very good arguement but you are completely out of line casting those aspersions that he justifies and accepts child rape. He can’t even defend himself as you twist his poopy arguements into an acceptance of rape and paint him as some sort of uber degenerate.
Ok, let me make a couple of points.
1) He absolutely implied that a pregnant 10 year old may carry some responsibility for getting pregnant. That's plain to see.
2) I agree he probably doesn't condone child rape. That doesn't mean his comments aren't disgusting.
3) If his arguments are poor and badly worded, that's on him. He went too far with his stupid game and crossed a line. Fucked around and found out.
4) I discussed this with numerous people first. I'm not the only one to find his comments revolting.
I understand he isn't here to defend himself and I don't want to drag this out. People are asking questions and I'm answering them. However, he WAS here to defend himself when I first mentioned the issue. He doubled down on it. I didn't just pink him for his first comment. He had an opportunity to retract is comments.

If he was making a hypothetical argument that a 10 year old has the capacity to make poor decisions that put them in harm’s way, that is another. Based on what I have read it seems like poor judgement was used in making a comment, not that he was vilifying this poor child. Pinking him is one thing, but let’s not insinuate that he ”justified child rape” if that is not what he really did/meant. It's not dying because it's toxic. It's dying because it's so insular and so hostile to even the concept of new members. I've been told many times that this isn't really a discussion forum, it's essentially a Messenger group for a community of real-life friends. That's why the entire forum dies for hours on end every day when the North Americans go to bed.
Have you tried clicking on any random similarly-named thread at the bottom of any page of any thread? See how much actual decent discussion there is, before it turns into two pages of one-line meaningless nothing random babble posts that are absolutely worthless in terms of providing actual value or entertainment or commentary or discussion, and then dies?
Just look at the name changes. If you've been here for a decade, yeah you know who everyone is. I've been here for a year, and I have no fucking clue who Rambo is. Why? Because he's changed his name three times since I've been here, just like half of the most active posters have. And I can't be bothered making a fucking spreadsheet to keep track of that shit.
