The platform does not have the force of law but states the party’s position it wants Republicans in elected office to follow.

Looks like they voted this in their platform not into law. They'd have to somehow manage to change the law that is already being held up in courts that allows carve outs for rape/incest/and life of the mother.

That said I'm grateful this isn't a reality and I hope that the people of Idaho vote against everyone in their party that has proposed and stands behind this.

all these fooks have to do is look at what happened to Romania with women dying and orphanages overflowing. but maybe that’s what they want. gotta punish “the whores” i guess

Well, abortion is awful, and the worst kind of birth control.
But thinking about the issue has to go further than the religious zealot win. And for the religious zealot, they don't have to think about it further.

Religion gives you the certainty of being right, and that's part of the reason I hate organized religions.

There are going to be very familiar, horrible consequences to this decision and I hate the SC for doing this now in this climate.
Clarence Thomas should burn in hell.

it's more like a black market of morning after pills. The "leak" of the draft and the decision itself benefit BigPharma more than anyone else.

this isn't just an issue with religion. This is a pride issue. Just look back at all the people speaking follow the science when it comes to Covid.

The majority of the country wants to keep Roe v Wade in effect.

the majority also doesn't know exactly what Roe does by polling data.

Also what the majority wants has very little to do with what law is or should be.

The "majority" also wanted to force ineffective vaccines into people keep schools shut down, and mask children. All of which have turned out to be ineffective. Pride of certainty goes far beyond religious people.
