It is a trip that our navy has technology to detect 13,000 ft down and it is abhorrent that hunter got off on a felony gun charge he should be a felon .also why didn't hunter just carry a gun legally?

I would over-engineer it to take the pressure of 5 miles deep just to take it 1-2 miles deep, if money isn't a factor then over-engineer for peace of mind and survival.
