The Movie Crypt - Adam Green (Hatchet, Frozen, Digging Up the Marrow) and Joe Lynch (Everly, Wrong Turn 2, Knights of Badassdom) talk about the film industry and have guests every week. It's pretty candid and honest about how things work. It's horror-centric, but not exclusively.

Killer POV - Some horror journalists talking about horror movies. It's a good way to find out about obscure movies and they have really good interviews every so often.

Script Notes - John August (Big Fish) and Craig Mazin (Hangover sequels) talk about screenwriting. I'm not a huge fan of their work, but they know what they're talking about.

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History - Just what it sounds like. Really in depth history series, a lot of which is over my head but he's great at creating a narrative.

Stuff You Should Know - Pretty wide range of topics from history, science, pop culture, etc. NSA, Blimps, Rogue Waves...Not very in depth, but a good introduction to lots of stuff I would never know anything about otherwise.

Stuff You Missed in History Class - Lots of more obscure moments in history. Again, more of an introduction than a deep discussion, but very cool nonetheless.

How Did This Get Made - Paul Scheer, Jason Mantzoukas, and June Diane Raphael talk about shitty or otherwise crazy-ass movies. Zardoz, From Justin to Kelly, Fast and Furious movies, Birdemic. All really funny.

Stuff They Don't Want You to Know - Conspiracy theories, ghosts, aliens, supernatural, etc. If you're into that sort of thing.

I guess I'm all movies or history...What are some of your favorites?

I'm not big into podcasts. Typically just listen to Pandora on my phone, when working out but I'll have to start checking some of these out. Stuff You Missed In History Class sounds appealing, since I slept thru every history class I ever had.

Have to listen to music when I lift, but nothing I have found makes cardio go by quicker than a good podcast. Listened to Fighter and the Kid this AM with the Sports science guy and Meathead as guests and my hour went by like nothing.

I prefer mma/fight related podcasts the most, I generally Listen to the following on rotation if they have an interesting guest.

The Fighter and the Kid

JRE(in small doses)

Who's Next with Goldberg, when he has mma personalities or old school wrestlers

Ross Report w/ Jim Ross

You're Welcome w/ Chael Sonnen

Talk is Jericho w/Chris Jerhico

The Church of What's Happening Now w/ Joey Diaz

wish I could find more that appeal to my interests, but even with so many folks podcasting now I find the pickings slim. I guess I'm too picky

Hardcore History sounds cool. I'm a big history buff especially concerning WW2.

Chaels podcast is great. I listen to the JRE that has mma related people on there.

Love me some WW2 talk. I used to talk to my grandfather about it all the time. He was on the USS Alabama, which is now a museum piece, docked in Mobile. My grandfather passed away 5 years ago, so I would love to visit Mobile sometime and walk thru that ship in his honor.

Yeah I think you would enjoy the tour for sure and it would be great to do it for your grandfather as well.

Those old Battleships were really something.

I've toured the USS Missouri in Pearl Harbor and also seen the Arizona on the harbor floor.

Talked with tons of WW2 vets while I was stationed there and also met a few of the Japanese pilots who took part in the attack. It was surreal.

Ever since then I've always just wanted to learn more and more about the war.

Yeah, my wife, kids, and I spent 2 weeks in Oahu 3 years ago for my sister-in-laws wedding, and we toured Pearl Harbor. Such a sobering experience...knowing there are still bodies inside the Arizona. Choked me up and I made sure my kids understood what occurred there and why.

This looks like a great thread. Quite honestly, I have rarely listened to podcasts, and certainly never had something regular that I was committed to. The ones I have heard were random ones I linked to through an article or forum post like the odd Rogan or sports podcast. However, I think I might try a couple of the ones I've spotted in this thread as I get bored of listening to music or fights all day. I work out of a home office so I'm surprised I haven't gone the podcast route yet. My body is ready!

Listen to most of what has been posted already. Heres ones that i like that havent been posted.

Radio Lab
- has some really good episodes with varying themes and topics (history, science, short stories, etc). Live Apocalyptic and Patient Zero are really good episodes if you want to get to know the podcast.

Promotional Malpractice - if youre into Luke Thomas. Has shows on monday and wednesday.

mmajunkie.com radio - Everyday mma show w/ guests. A ton of what you read on Junkie are made with the interviews they do here daily.

That dude cracks me up, he's all over the place when he talks. I enjoy when he's been on JRE and Rogan gets frustrated with him lol.

I got huge into podcasts in the past year, the best, I'd much rather be learning and thinking about new things these days. Plus, keeps me entertained and helps pass the time on walks/runs/airplanes/road trips.
