I remember reading they didn't give him his show money when he refused to fight his overweight opponent, but damn lol, he must really be salty about it.

Him saying he's happy with everything doesn't mean he was paid. They could have threatened him with the sidelines for 3 years if he didn't shot the fuck up for all we know.

He gets his show money for the last fight if he completes this one.
It's absolute bullshit.
If Shavkat misses weight, but Wonderboy doesn't take it anyway, he loses out twice.
This in mind, Shavkat could theoretically PLAN to come in heavy, knowing Stephen has to take the fight to get paid for the last two, which is abhorrent.
Dana gonna Dana.
Really, absent having current contract in-hand to verify, Stephen's only upside here is the recent scumbag news regarding Dana pressuring Strikeforce to sell.
On that, Dana may opt to save face & pay Stephen if Shavkat were to miss weight or pull out.
Crapshoot.
MMA contracts should not be this grey.
Stephen did his part.

Sorry I don't have one readily available, but SI reported on it around September 27th iirc.
In the article, WB "may get paid for his previous fight by accrepting fight with Shavkat"

Found it.

But that doesn't really specify how much he'll get. It just says "what they owe him".

There is an older article where it sounds like he was just asking for the cost of his camp.

Dana is pissed at Jared Gordon
Pushed him back to the prelims because he went public with how little of a discount fighters get for family tickets to the event, and probably because he wants him gone so he doesn't beat Paddy Pamblett a second time.

Cody is probably making bank and they want to make him quit the contract

Gordon is probably on the low end and they are punishing him for out pointing Paddy and speaking out on $$$

It is a dirty game, this MMA

This is why I barely watch MMA anymore... it is just constant talking about some boxercise jerk-off from Boston who's never had a fight in his life...

What other sport is so obsessively preoccupied with the administrator of a league???
