Met Chuck Lidell in rehab

This happened about a year ago. Was in rehab for booze/blow.

There was this guy about 60 walking around with a chuck lidell haircut and goatee. The nurses started talking about the "UFC fighter".

After training fighters and cornering for years and 30+ years of training my ears perked up. Then I heard him holding court with the nurses office:

The guy: "Yeah, I used to fight in the UFC under the name Chuck LYE-DELL. My real name is Mark though.

Mark was about 5'8 170 lbs of cookie dough. No muscle. Half the staff believed him.

When a staff member heard I was a fellow BJJ'er and he was a purple he asked me what I thought about "Mr. Lye-Dell". I busted out laughing and he did as well. Poor bastard. I never bothered to correct him or ask him questions. "I'm a big fan, sir" I said in front of the bjj'er who was a councilor trying to get him to lose his shit.

Oh, I should also mention I was in there with three pro wrestlers who got into shit for relentlessly hitting on any woman in sight in their off time. One of them I knew, the other two I didn't.

The funny thing is the guy looked like he could be chuck's drunk uncle. He looked just like him, only older, and half the size. Mr. Lye-Dell, it is an honor to meet you. I should also mention this rehab center has a boxing gym and arena that sponsored fights twice a month. Guys that were former athletes could box and family and friends could come see their progress. I brought my gloves/wraps/mouthpiece but my blood pressure was so high from coming off the sauce they wouldn't even let me do pushups or free squats in my room. I was on lockdown. Thanks to mr. Lye-dell for getting me through the week. Some of the nurses were super hot and very interested.
