  • He hit his local gun range the day before the shooting. Both he and his father were members there and would sometimes go there together. The club's longest range is 187 yards.
  • His father owns over 20 guns.
  • He bought a box of ammo the morning of.
  • He then went the Home Depot and bought a ladder.
  • He drove his Hyundai Sonata to the rally.
  • There were explosives in his car and a transmitter on his body.
  • His phone & laptop have yielded little evidence.
  • His parents are cooperating and have said he really didn't have any friends or political interests.

He brought the ladder? The one leading to the roof he shot from?

Some guy casually walks up to a building less than 150 yards from where Trump is scheduled to speak, carrying both a gun and a ladder, and climbs onto the roof unchallenged? I assumed that the ladder was a feature of the building, not something he brought with him, and that he sneaked up there somehow. That's bad enough, but how does security miss a guy with a frickin ladder? Not like he can hide it down his jacket is it.

It appears so.

I doubt he carried it all up at once. I'm guessing setup the ladder, then went back for the gun which was suppose to be in some kind of case.
