I have a Tundra glovebox that came all divided up like that. Cabin air filter behind it is tricky to get off. I don't really keep anything in there other than manuals and proof of insurance/registration. Used to have a .357 in it but not lately. Overall the glove box is very average at best. Both in design, and in contents.
Yep, I don't have one. I thought about getting one, but I ended up getting a lock box for the center console instead. I moved most of what was in the glove box to there.
I don't typically keep guns in my truck, but I do sometimes stop for a hike after target shooting. It is nice to have options for locking stuff up. There are a lot of smash & grabs at trailhead parking spots.
My glove box has the manual and an N95 mask. I have a Tacoma which means I need to get to the air filter as well.

Yea, sorry Jesus X, I posted my OP when I didn't realize that the road rage guy had a gun in his hand. The guy shooting was clearly justified in these circumstances.
But, I'm curious. You say he would have been justified shooting road rage as soon as he saw road rage get out of his car and walk out towards him with gun in his hand. Really? Just a gun in site, and walking towards you, boom boom boom dead dude is OK? Literally just walking over, with gun in hand, that's enough to end his life? What if he had his gun for protection? I dunno, just seems like a shitty thing to do...

I carry on body and don’t like to hoster/reholster when exiting my vehicle. It’s also been shown to be slower to try and draw while driving. I have a separate pistol specifically for my vehicle that is mounted. Texas sees your vehicle as a continuation of your home/castle.

Do you keep your truck pistol in your truck? Do you park in a home garage? Can it be seen if someone looks through your windows?
The mount is out of view while driving. I secure the firearm in a lockbox and bring it into the house when not in use. When I go into a store or leave for errands, I secure the truck pistol into the locked area of my vehicle which is not visible. All vehicles are parked in a garage, we get crazy hail storms that sometimes show up in the middle of the night.

I’m actually a big proponent of training and still maintain an LTC. I would not be opposed to expecting people who carry to have some required training on firearms, safety and de-escalation that they renew annually. But I also think people should be certified in first aid/CPR every year, too. These are basic life skills.
I keep mine out of the holster, and sitting on my console with one in the chamber when I’m driving. Then holster it if I get out of the vehicle to go into a store, restaurant, etc. And my every day carry is a Beretta APX which has a trigger safety, so it’s literally just aim & fire if ever needed.
