Yeah I totally get that. But somehow I need a plot I care about or characters I care about / root for / feel with, and in another way than just feeling sorry for them. After all it still should be entertainment or at least has me involved, and not depress me more than anything.

I felt that, in the German version of The Office, they sometimes were literally just mean to characters, and then let it simmer there for a while, catch their reactions, and then next scene...

Such things are better done in dramas I guess, The Wire did it masterfully, everybody was fucked up somehow, and it was social commentary on a big stage.

Could be the format as well though, but on the other hand, I love Parks and Rec.

what kind of party...in the neighborhood or work party?

hope the food is good...and the liquor is flowing.
Work. Yeah man liquor is flowing. Very positive and happy vibe here. I just did the the lindy hop with wifey to the amusement of many. Scotch is the spirit of the evening. Its going down smooth. I'm staying here so I can let it all hang out. Thanks for the best wishes everyone.

This is an experienced drunk post. Short sentences, little confusing grammar otherwise, and a friendly overtone. Probably took 10 minutes to type though.

I'm a total wimp about show discomfort. I tried to watch Curb Your Enthusiasm, I almost ran out of the room. I can appreciate that it's funny but I'm too uncomfortable with the situation to laugh. But I'm not great socially in real life (I know, you're all shocked, shocked! by this revelation when I seem so smooth and urbane) so maybe it's too close for comfort when someone blunders. The closest I enjoy to that style is certain episodes of Louie.

Which reminds me, is anyone checking out the Mr. Show reboot?

Yes. Mr show.2 is good. Are you watching?
Loved curb because just when you think it couldn't possibly get any worse Larry David makes it infinitely worse. You wouldnt like nathan for you either then...its painfully uncomfortable.
Hes made me cringe and look away

Watched the first one last night, laughed. I missed those dudes.

Yeah I love the idea of CYE and Larry David is great but there's some weakness in me that just can't go for it in practise. I won't even attempt Nathan!

It did go well. Like to well.it keeps going well. I had a great time. But I dunno, we click really well so I'm just waiting for something horrendous to happen.
I think the same way in general, vigilant sort of. I totally get that. But that can be challenged with logic, and you seem like a pretty logical thinker. On the other hand chemistry is either there or so not, and nothing can be done if it's not, so that's good!

Fuck, I sound like an afterschool special. Hey gang, let's rap...

Yeah, guards up but not to up. I've been as open as I can with her. The way I see it, this is me, you either like it or you don't. Better to figure it out quick.....but the odd thing is so far she likes it.
