Maybe the worst class ever but it also was the easiest to scout. Pretty much everyone said it was a trash class and close to pretty much everyone said no one was a 1st round talent. No one ruined their careers betting big on any QB and SF made out like a bandit on Purdy.
True that, in fact in terms of expectation versus reality, the 2021 draft might be an even bigger stinker.

Heralded one of the most talent rich QB drafts of all time, top 3 picks all QBs, five taken in the first round, an NFL draft record total of 8 QBs taken in the first three rounds.

Only one (Trevor Lawrence) is still with the team that picked him, and although talented he's not exactly making many people's top 5 QB lists is he.

Trevor Lawrence (No. 1 overall)
Zach Wilson (No. 2 overall)
Trey Lance(No. 3 overall)
Justin Fields (No. 11 overall)
Mac Jones (No. 15 overall)
Kyle Trask (No. 64 overall)
Kellen Mond (No. 66 overall)
Davis Mills (No. 67 overall)
Ian Book (No. 133 overall)
Sam Ehlinger (No. 218 overall)

That's pretty bad too. Chiefs just cut Ian Book. He wasn't good enough to beat out Chris Oludokun for #3 QB.

I actually liked Kyle Trask. Has he even started a single game for the Bucs besides preseason since being drafted?

Are we good at CB then? Will he try to sign one?
I think Spags is going to run less pure man and a lot more zone this year. You can't replace Sneed, even if Watson or a rookie has a surprising year. Sneed is a rare CB.

The safety room is much better than it's been in years, imo. If Hicks is as good as advertised, Cook and Connor improve just slightly and Reid doesn't drop off I think they could be a sneaky good unit.

If I had to guess, I doubt Veach brings in a CB that does much this year. He's always churning the bottom of the roster though, especially at DB, so there'll be young guys ready to come up later if need be.

Gotta be honest, don't like the idea of facing a fresh Picard/Henry/Jackson backfield. It's possible the Chiefs time of possesion is 17 minutes in this game.

I'd rather face KC later in the season.

First regular season game of Orr calling the defense.
First game with 3 new offensive linemen.
First snaps for most of the starters as almost none played any snaps in the preseason.

Recipe for a slow start... and we saw what happened in the AFCC game when that happens.

How terrible do you have to be to lose a QB battle to a midget and Clayton Tune?
