Update on Trent Williams:

“They're (league source) hearing Trent Williams wants to be 'paid-paid' like the very important piece he is.”

Another league source also added this morning:

“San Francisco is between a real rock and a hard place because Trent is not playing around. Something may have to give, unless you're allowing for big adjustments next season.”
I read that if he doesn't get his money, he just might retire. The FO needs to decide now if they want to start rebuilding early or make a run. Me, I'd cut bait and start rebuilding. Teams/need to nut up or the NFL will turn into the NBA.

The Niners had his replacement in the draft.. but they opted for white boy Rick. Now the Chiefs have the highest graded LT in preseason on their team

the superbowl loss and this whole contract thing with aiyuk and trent has been exhausting and I'm almost there with you. if the team is serious about a deep playoff run, williams has to be signed. if they won't extend him, there seems little point in an aiyuk deal.

I'm glad we got green, but letting the ravens get Rosengarten and then letting the chiefs trade in front of them for Suamataia was negligent. we're absolutely fucked at tackle with no williams, we're already fucked on the right side with mckivitz again. fucking helll atleast mcglinchey could run block (can't believe I wrote that)

I don't really like what they did at OL with the cut downs. they kept zakelj, who sucks and feliciano who they could've ir'd with a designation to return. if Kingston doesn't clear waivers, we fucked our current depth and potential future quality of the iol.

also wanted them to keep nugent on the roster cause he's an actual center and not a conversion attempt like zakelji. I'm more positive he clears waivers though. we'll see.

yea I don’t like the gambling they do with the waivers.

we only have two TE’s currently and also Mordecai better clear waivers or I’ll be pissed too.

So the #49ers released a ton of depth at the OT position. It’s almost like, they’re anticipating someone important coming back soon… 😉
