i dont think the year to year cap hits from his deal have come out yet. with the draft, we all saw the writing on the wall when it comes to deebo and unless he has a shitty year lenoir ain't going no where. they'll tag him and get a deal done.

the others, maybe that idiot is right. we don't know if huf comes back to form. this is season 12 for juice. season 9 for collins and hargrave. who knows how much gas they still have in the tank. I will say though, they gave hargrave a 4 year deal. there might be a dead money issue with him.

with purdy, I'm pretty sure it's only the prorated signing bonus that will tack on next season (not saying that won't be large).

with trent, the team is stuck between a rock and a hard place. he is not overpaid. he is the best in the league. and he's too important for the teams success. what makes it difficult is the 4+ million in fines. those can't be forgiven and he'll need that plus whatever it takes to give him the number he wants. I also share your concern with him retiring and the team still having to cut him an 8 figure check. but are you suggesting we tell him to stay home and do the season without him? I wouldn't like our chances against teams with quality edge rushers.

On Brandon Aiyuk’s backloaded contract: The 49ers lowered his 2024 cap hit from $14.1m to $5.8m. So SF actually opened $8.3m of 2024 space.

The 49ers now have over $24m of cap space this season.

They successfully executed the Aiyuk deal to set up the Brock Purdy negotiation

aiyuk is in my doghouse until he betters last seasons production (i said this on the og and am sticking to it). I'm glad he has the opportunity to rejoin my good graces.
