It looks like the place has legs. And at least for now there are a lot less political threads. I'd say it reminds me of the OG from 2010 to 2015. This place reminds me of the OG/UG from 2000-2005. That doesn't mean either one is better, just different. As I said, I go to both places because it's just one click away.
I joined a bunch of mma forums a few years ago. Can't remember which ones I'm even a member of now other than this and that OG discord now. Some of the ones I joined had threads that were not replied to since 2022!
I have been pretty burned by the whole thing. Seen some things that people have said and I still am in the same camp as Wild. This shit isn’t that serious. Hell, people that I vouched for and fought for said some shitty things about me. Behind my back and eventually to my face.

I was also part of the fightingtalk(or fighterschat) chat site. I think it was made by Screenmonkey? Sabrutat was on it and got into flame wars regularly. I was in my 20s and there was a kid like 13 yrs old in there that was hilarious. Nunez haha. There was even a female there! Good times.
Whatever happened to that oboe chap? He was always making agony aunt threads trying to life coach folks and then he became a MoD. (I think that was his sn, perhaps it was another, my memory is kaput)

This is the thing with MoDs. Here and there. Once their tenure is up they often disappear.

Nah man... he did something good and got popular for it. That became his drug, to help OGers. Some idiots decided that he's so popular he should definitely be a mod.
His ego exploded based on that.
He wasn't built for it, and he didn't really have a lane out besides going to some alt discord and hating on what he once proclaimed to love.
