It was a horrible hire, worst guy on the staff including guys who haven't really coached yet.
I suspect Deion didn't want to admit he was holding them back, but he is certainly holding them back.

Shermer sent Jerry Jeudy on about 250 fake reverses his last season in Denver which essentially took him out of the offense on those plays. Fucked over a few bronco prospects with his play calling.
He was HC Vic Fangio's "Guy" and that ended up getting both of them fired from Denver in early 2022 as the Broncos sucked the balls in 2020 and 2021 mostly due to coaching.
Funny thing is if you go back and look at his stats against P5/4 opponents he was very average. That Clemson game raised his stock and we all see that Clemson ain't Clemson anymore. Not saying he can't be good just that he's consistently pretty mid.
I also can't take shadier sanders seriously when he is wearing a 1.5 lb chain during the game. You wanna play good fast and light, or do you wanna pretend to be a G with a gold chain?

he was only good at running the ball and intermediate passes. He’s not accurate down field and forces the ball

He was really good at Duke though. He carried them to some wins that should have been losses. I thought he’d be even better at ND with a better surrounding cast.
