To say that Springfield is in the middle of nowhere is an understatement. There's simply no way they would select that town randomly.

This was done on purpose. If these dudes are all working, I'd be looking into where. The labor market in Ohio is brutal - so it wouldn't surprise me at all if some companies reached out to border towns and said "Send them our way"
