Interested to hear your thoughts when you finish. The last season of the original show was just bad all around. The big bad of the season just seemed like a regular guy trying to act like a psychopath versus Dexter who walks around as a wolf in sheep’s clothing and plays the part well.
Think we are up to episode 5, still liking it but his inner voice/conscience is a raging bitch.

Been watching a show called the terror

It's a thriller / horror. Made a couple years back on amc but just on netflix recently

First season is great. Second is good so far.

Different story each season. Here's a trailer for the first. I don't wanna watch one for the second because I'm watching it.

I read the novel the first season is based on probably like 15 years ago. Haven’t watched the show though.

If the novel is based on the show you should check it out. It's a fantasy show about some ships that disappeared in real life.

Other way around: the show is based on the novel. And yes, it’s the same story. Terror is one of the ships and also what happens.
I read it because I read another of the author’s books called “Drood” that’s about Charles Dickens and Wilkie Collins, which was weird but interesting. I thought “He made an interesting story out of their relationship, let’s see how he warps this other historical thing.”

Props to AwkwardTitan for reminding me about Mr Inbetween. I wanted to list it here for anyone looking for an all time great series.

View attachment 114950

"Mr Inbetween" is a half-hour comedy series inspired by the cult film "The Magician" and centers around Ray Shoesmith. Juggling a relationship, parental responsibilities, friendships and a sick brother while earning a living would be difficult for anyone, but it's particularly difficult for Ray since he's a criminal for hire. Ray "takes care of people" -- collecting debts, relieving them of drugs and guns, and often taking care of them on a more permanent basis. Ray demands respect and does not tolerate it when someone disregards his very clear code of ethics.

(Which also reminds me, I need to watch the Magician)

The interview with the vampire series is another soft porn gay series. Every vampire in there is a cock sucker

So tired of Netflix shit. Every show is a gay grooming program

Ya, never read. Just remembered the Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt version from the 90s. Expected something similar, but it took a wrong turn. It was bad enough making the main vampire and the girl black, but every vampire just wants to go butt fuck each other uhhhhh

I don't usually admit to reading Anne Rice, even though as a kid I plowed through those books like spjackson at an all the dick you can suck buffet. Neil Jordan's film was, if nothing else, pretty faithful and a decent artistic film. Gayish but not intolerable. First bush I ever remember seeing in a film as a kid.

The new television series, wouldn't even bother watching a single episode. You know what's in store these days.

The Witching Hour was a momentary temptation with Alexandra Daddario. But there's no way that series is going to get as depraved as those books were. It'll be safe and pander to the usual idiots. So, mediocre.

There are bits in those books that are genuinely good. But a lot of crap, too, once she became famous enough to not be forced to have an editor. Same deal with Stephen King.

I was so pissed with the abortion of queen of the damned adaption, one of my top favorite books of hers. I will take your word and not bother watching this series.
