1) Didn’t know there was a rule like this - apparently it is in fact against the rules to try to “coach” (distract) the other fighter

2) Rule or not, I think Welch is a complete cheat little shit for doing this. Lost all respect.

He comes across as an alibaba version of Greg Jackson in the corner, first time I saw him was the other night.

You are doing good, just breathhhhh.

maybe he shoulda actually spent more time coaching his own fighter, judging by how things played out

O'Malley is under a BJJ world champ, yet his grappling looked like dog shit. A lot of these Brazilian born JiuJitsu guys are terrible teachers

His UG SN was Cheap Shot.
As a fighter he was very capable but suffered Andy Wang disease and lost fights that mattered because he was head hunting.
Watch Sean fight after knowing that and you'll see all the holes.

For doing what, exactly? No one has said what he was doing.

In the aljo fight he "tricked" him into desperately moving forward, where Sean dropped him coming in.

Not having that happen again is what this is about.

If you can be tricked by another corner yours isn't very strong.

Probably something including Merab's name to try and help confuse him to set up an strike for Sean.
I read an interview somewhere where the coach admitted that some of his 'calls' used Merab's name. So I'm picturing something like wanting O'malley to throw a left and yelling "Merab, defend the takedown" hoping Merab drops his hands while O'malley throws a left, but it's all really just guesswork.

I’ve never heard of that rule?
It’s like when Mazzagotti told Nick Diaz “no talking” during the first Robbie Lawler fight.
What?
