Well shit yeah I'm all for going even further in that direction. My bad. Thinking back on convos I now realize how you were saying that the whole time and I was just reading into it. Hate it when people do that to me. Sorry.Yeah that's been my stance since NIL was adopted. All good.
Well the old system was good imo bc a "legal contract" would've been impossible bc there was no NIL so the one free transfer rule was a gamble the boosters played if they were so inclined to do so. We all know they were getting paid but they were still students if only by name. Hopefully this makes sense. It's been a long day.I just hated the old system where some asshole coach could lure some kid in with bullshit promises and then ruin his career or the kid had to gamble a year, maybe more than once, to get a chance to play.

You mean the NCAA? Sincerely asking. I thought they lost and have no say in NIL now.I agree to an extent. It needed some changes but unfortunately the same idiots who caused the problems have been in charge of fixing them.
Didn't even know they were playingThis might be the most undisciplined UW team I’ve ever seen. Wow.

Yup they should've been proactive like 15 to 20 years ago but nopeI agree to an extent. It needed some changes but unfortunately the same idiots who caused the problems have been in charge of fixing them.
Got you. Agree. Now they don't. When we all saw this coming, they refused to do anything. This could have been avoided.
Yeah it's mind boggling they thought they'd just keep all of the profits and no one would out them OR want their cut. My dad was pretty big in the athletic department fundraising "team" and even he said there's no way it makes sense to pay these players. He gets it now. Old thinking and it bit them in the end.I'm never surprised anymore when clearly wrong parties won't get in front of something and insist on fighting it out in court just for ego.
Ever see the south park episode about it? LolYeah it's mind boggling they thought they'd just keep all of the profits and no one would out them OR want their cut.
