The San Francisco 49ers received more bad injury news on Thursday. After reporters witnessed linebacker Curtis Robinson being carted off the practice field with a knee injury, defensive tackle Jordan Elliott also went down, as reported by Cam Inman of the Bay Area News Group. The team later confirmed that Elliott sustained a foot injury.

Lynch said Christian McCaffrey is back in the Bay Area. The hope has been for the Achilles inflammation, which flared up right before this current IR stretch, to quiet down over the minimum 4 games off.

"Now, we can start the process of building back up."

As has been the case since the IR move, there is no firm timeline given the nature of tendinitis — and 49ers certainly don't want to rush one
