I’m NERC certified but that’s for bulk electric system operations.

what I explained is illegal & advised not to do. Properly, he should have a transfer switch & use his generators 240V outlet to that transfer switch.

I’ve also performed the illegal way in a pinch. It works but you have to be very cognizant of your circuit limitations.
I'm just trolling sparkutie. Pay me no mind.

Larger Meter to accurately meter gas flow & separate line post meter for reducing pressure drop allowing usage of other ng appliances.
I've been thinking of getting a NG generator and have NG at my home I only use NG for my furnace and fireplace.

Your local gas utility will decide if a new meter is required. Most require a new meter but some get away without it. Not that it matters, the utility doesn't charge for the replacement.

Came across these pics on reddit, supposedly they lost their neutral and the gas line took over as the ground, I wouldn't even know wtf to do if I saw that

Open your main breaker.

Luckily as long as there's not a leak, there won't be a fire. Those flex lines won't hold up long though & a leak & subsequent fire will result once the line weakens and begins to leak.

These recent stories of people being electrocuted to death after stepping outside their cars have legit spooked me. My dumbass would've never even thought about being killed if a powerline fell on a car I'd be in...
Walked outside to assess the post -Michael situation and found that the lines that run over my property had fallen on my truck. I wouldn’t go near that fucker until the power company guys assured me they were dead, and even then I got them to move them. I still had to step over them to get into my truck and got a crawly feeling between my shoulder blades doing it despite their having assured me they would not be energized until they were back on the pole.

Always ask if they've been isolated instead of de-energized. Isolated denotes a physically & visibly open break point (switch) making the line safe to work on. De-energized just means the breaker is currently open but doesn't denote any safety as a relay or a remote operator can reclose the breaker at anytime.

I'd either kill the power at the main - OR - piss on it to cool it down.
