I have no idea Doug. I guess it is similar, but we have a much more authoritarian tradition here whereas you guys at least used to have more of a liberty thing going on down there. Our politicians feel emtitled to make us eat endless amounts of shit.

There's not much difference I guess. We also have a huge population of faggots who want to go along with the most outrageous measures and get morally outraged with anyone who might want to pump the brakes on some of it. Tbis is like 90 percent of the population where I live on the west coast so the situation is pretty discouraging for anyone normal.

I grew up in northern BC, lots of natives up there. Played hockey with a bunch of them, even played some tournaments with the rez team.
All the natives I went to school with got $150k when they graduated high school.
Now, I live in the Kootenays and work for Teck, which unfortunately is a very woke company. We just had a 45 minute video about truth and reconciliation and about 75% was complete bullshit. Saying how they only get $5 dollars a year from the government, and do pay taxes etc.
As someone who has seen how most natives operate with my own eyes, I just laughed and called them out on their bullshit.
They say they are the stewards of the land, but if you go to 95% of the rez's you woukd be like wtf.
But for most people who live in the cities, they've never seen how it really is. They just eat up the bullshit that's spewed because they don't know any better.
