Time to bust out the tweed and flat caps — Peaky Blinders is coming back. Cillian Murphy will reprise his role as Birmingham gangster Tommy Shelby in a new movie coming to Netflix, made in association with BBC Film. You can catch a glimpse of Murphy in character in a new photo from set, released as the movie officially begins production.
“I’m thrilled to see the cameras rolling on this new chapter of the Peaky Blinders story, set during World War II,” Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight told Netflix. “The country is at war, and so, of course, are our Peaky Blinders.”
"It seems like Tommy Shelby wasn’t finished with me,” Murphy, who reunited with Knight on set, told Netflix. “It is very gratifying to be re-collaborating with Steven Knight and Tom Harper on the film version of Peaky Blinders. This is one for the fans.”
