We have a ton of people at work who are from this area. GA, TN, and the Carolinas. My company sent out a big email this morning about how they are donating $10,000 to the red cross in order to show their support. I cant imagine how infuriating that must be to read.

I was thinking maybe 2500, tops.

Why even announce something like this? Just do it and dont mention it, imo, regardless of the sum. If you feel the need to speak on it then just say generally "we are allocating funds to help those in need" and leave it at that.

Yep, comes across as more virtue signaling, jesus christ the og raised more money for members, even the scammers.

People who have been on the ground rendering aid and performing rescues since last Saturday morning said FEMA showed up yesterday and basically told them to beat it, that their supplies were being confiscated and they were to cease all activities because they’re not licensed in NC to perform them. They claim they said “Fuck you” and carried on. This all according to some GOP politician that Beck had on this morning.
