I only fully watched Hell in a Cell and the Cody/Roman vs Bloodline. Had the rest on in the background while doing shit.

Punk/McIntyre was pretty brutal. Both guys got busted open pretty bad. Drew ended up with 16 staples in his head from an unprotected shot with a metal tool box. Ending saw Drew dump a bag of those wrist beads before getting backdropped awkwardly onto the metal stairs. Punk shoved a handful off the beads into Drews mouth followed by a Go To Sleep for the win.

Crowd wasn’t into Cody and popped constantly for Roman. Exactly what you would expect in the match. Jimmy Uso returned to take out/distract the additional Bloodline members that had come to interfere. After the match ended Rock appeared briefly. If I was HHH I’d give Roman the belt at the next Saudi blood money event.

A bunch of returns.

Raquel Gonzales came back to attach Rhea & join Judgement Day.

The production of that match (Rhea not going for the pin when she had the match won) was dumb. And Raquel was a bit too chunky as well as small-boobed to wear that thing she was wearing.

Bloodline Wolfpack got involved in the main event for Jimmy Uso to return & take them out, rejoining Roman.

After the match, Bloodline Wolfpack jumped Cody and Jimmy convinced Roman to save him. After running them off, Rock's music hits, he walks out holding his dumb belt, stands at the entrance, does "1,2,3" with his fingers to get his music started again, & proceeds to do absolutely nothing as the show ends.

For goodness sake, don't put the belt back on Roman again.

Cody (IMO) doesn't have "it" to be the company top guy, but the fact that they keep booking him as such doesn't help. Cody as champ 1000% should have come out last - not Roman. Cody can't beat anyone unless he hits his finisher 3-4x. I get Roman getting the pin here, but he felt totally out of place in this tag match.

Rocky will almost assuredly turn out to be behind the "new tribal chief" (since Solo sure AF doesn't have "it" and is shitting the bed as a main event heel).

I've been saying since Mania last year they're likely building to Rocky / Cody this year since he pinned Cody night 1 while Roman lost Night 2.

Personally, I'm extremely worn out on the Bloodline shit in general. Most of it is extremely slow (it goes from "long-term storytelling" to "good grief, make something happen, already"). People like to look at Roman's reign with rose-colored glasses but forget it would go MONTHS with fuck-all taking place, and one of the biggest high points of the story (the Sami Zayn shit) was not only a complete accident (it was only supposed to last a couple-few weeks, but it organically got over), but was due to Sami...none of the Bloodline.

Two of the guys actually worth watch are barely there (Rock & Roman), Fatu is the only guy worth watching that's there regularly, most of the rest are very mid (Usos, GOD), and Solo absolutely sucks.

Separate Cody away from this, give him an ACTUAL challenger (start a long-term feud with Randy or something) and let the Bloodline shit all be amongst themselves...

...which they can't really do considering the biggest names are rarely on tv and the ones that are, are 'meh'.

Paul Heyman's return should be fun, though.

As an aside:

It was rumored that Punk/Drew's HIAC was originally supposed to be the main event, but got bumped out of that slot for the Bloodline because...well, because of course it did.

Wonder how Punk likes his first WWE PPV/PLE main event in over a decade getting knocked out of the top spot by the Rock *again*.

Oh - and if they *are* actually building to a Goldberg/Gunther Saudi Shitshow match for the title, I will genuinely laugh my ass off.

Well you know damn well the Rock wanted to finish the show with his cameo, so he got to finish the show.

Think that was just a one-off since they were where Goldberg lives. Just like using Bret when they were in his hometown. Wondering how many Legends contracts will amount to showing up and having Gunther shit-talk them... :tearsofjoy:

Good PLE. Tiffany Stratton is in route to be a big star, certainly looking forward to her feud with Charlotte. The Saudi's love themselves some Goldberg, WWE of course is taking him out of storage. WALTER should carry Goldberg to a decent match. Certainly Liv, Punk, and Priest will be fast tracked into new feuds as soon as Monday.

So apparently in the post media scrum, someone asked Trips why there isn't more "diversity" on the PLE cards - specifically more black guys.

Trips responded with something along the lines of he doesn't seem color or race or whatever - he just sees talent, and talent is what how he decides to push people.

Now he's apparently getting backlash & being called a racist.

After a Samoan guy was just the 4th-longest champ in history, main event angle & stable comprised almost completely of samoan / samoan & black guys, a samoan women's champ (or whatever Nia Snax is), black women's tag champs (for the 2nd time, and not far removed from Bianca being champ for over a year), a Japanese women's champ for 2/3 of a year...

Gawd, WWE just lacks so much diversity!

Looks like Iyo had fun not having to deal with Bad Blood.

Suck it, Barry! She's a Doyers fan of course!

It's all cooked up by the media to get clicks. He couldn't mention the fact that black females are dominating, because the question was specifically about black males. And he couldn't point to NXT where Trick and others have had plenty of runs, because it was about the PLE's.

So it was highly cherry picked data set, combined with MVP's sour grapes on his way out the door, combined into the perfect thing for the media to take advantage of for clicks in the outrage economy.

And so the wheel keeps turning...as we live in the dumbest timeline.

Love me some Damage Control.

And angry Iyo is one of my favorite things in wrestling. Love it when she goes on a rampage or cuts an angry promo. :tearsofjoy:
Dude, I'm right there with you. I love the faction and wish they were booked like the monsters they should be.

I loved seein Io as champ, but she was never booked strong IMO - she wasn't booked strong as NXT champ, either. Gets a fair amount of wins, but lucky or chickenshit or whatever. Her & Asuka both should be booked as crazy people people that will destroy you...like how Asuka was originally booked in NXT.

My favorite was when Io originally went heel in NXT, coming out with the new theme, the completely dark entrance during the black & gold era...fucking PERFECT.

They'll never be happy until African americans are at the top of everything.

Also, completely ignoring the fact that two of the last three NXT champions are black. They just see two white guys holding the main belts and immediately jump to a racist conclusion.

Rumor that at Bad Blood, Liv was supposed to win with Raquel's help (as Raquel does put Liv onto Rhea for an expected count), however the ref had nobody distracting him, saw the whole thing, and had no way or reason not to call a DQ finish instead, so that's the call he made.

It did look a bit off from the wrestlers reactions.

Yeah, seeing Raquel lift Liv back off of Rhea after realizing that the bell had rung was awkward as fuck.
I was distracted at first just at the complete lack of tits on Raquel given the outfit she was wearing.
