My one friend, who had 4’ of water in his first floor said that FEMA flat out said “you’re getting no help”
So he filed with his insurance company and fairly enough, they said, “wait until this next storm as you’re not fixing anything and we’ll reevaluate things after it hits”

FEMA has apparently run out of money due to giving illegals so much money

Milton is gonna dump on Florida.
Thank god they have the best Governor in America who won't allow FEMA to arrest helpers.

There's a storm right behind that too. Yesterday the models had it cutting across the state behind Milton. Now they have it moving south.

Ppl need to stop building mansions on the beach in Florida. There’s a reason nobody did it back in the day, dumb Yankees

You tow your trailer with your confederate flag on it down to the beach for the summer and when a hurricane comes you tow it back inland to cousin Duane’s property

I am a Firefighter in the area where it is expected to make landfall. The beach front homes in the area got absolutely wrecked just from the storm surge with Helene. Can't wait to see what a direct hit brings...... (Sarcasm). It's gonna be a long few weeks if it hits where they are thinking as of our last update. Just got off shift and home to button up and hope for the best before heading back to station a day early.

Yep, and your A priority is to get home and take care of yours, seeing a lot of reports coming out from NC of EMS that died.

When I took my EMT class back in 1992, one thing that stuck with me that the instructors said. Dead is dead, do not put yourself in harm's way or prolong the situation when there are people that need your help, you can not help them if you are dead to.
