Rodney Alcala (The Dating Game Killer) and Richard Cottingham (Times Square Ripper) were colleagues working in the same New York office for the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association.

Neither man has claimed to have been aware of the other, nor is there any evidence they were familiar with each other prior to their respective arrests.

When mating, hermaphroditic banana slugs stab each other with their penises. Usually both slugs end up with fertilized eggs, and they go their separate ways. But sometimes they get stuck, and have to chew each other's penises off, an act called apophallation.
That reminds me of a night out I had in the late 90s. It's why I don't get blackout drunk any more.

An image of a Brocken spectre, where a person’s shadow appears on the fog.

Brocken comes from Brocken or Blocksberg, a mountain in Germany where the phenomenon was first described. In mythology, it was referred to as a mountain guardian, who would guide lost spirits through the fog.
Or off a cliff. You didn't hear back from the folks who the Brocken pranked.

Brocken comes from Brocken or Blocksberg, a mountain in Germany where the phenomenon was first described. In mythology, it was referred to as a mountain guardian, who would guide lost spirits through the fog.

Scientifically, this effect is fairly easy to explain. The sun causes a shadow to fall upon (and through) the water droplets of the cloud or fog. The distance of the shadow makes it hard for the viewer to accurately judge the size and proportions of the shadow. The colorful solar glory often seen around the shadow is produced by light refracting within the water droplets. As clouds shift, the Brocken spectre can seem to flicker and move.

That's a long way to say a fucking ANGEL! Ban science!

Voyager Golden Record is currently the farthest man-made object from Earth, at a distance of 24.7 billion km. The records contain sounds and images selected to portray the diversity of life and culture on Earth. Voyager 1 was launched in 1977.
I wonder if this will ever be seen by intelligent life or just careen into a star in 500 million yrs

I believe it also has an interstellar map that shows our exact location in the universe. Might as well just put up a road sign, come eat us space overlords.

That new movie that Anna Kendrick directed about Alcala was actually very good. I was impressed by her work given this is her directorial debut. Very well done.

The hand size of Serbian basketball player Boban Marjanović is surreal

He has a pituitary gland condition that causes gigantism, which is why his hands are disproportionately larger.
What about, um, other body parts?
Asking for a friend.
