On May 10, 2024, a fatal high-speed chase in Atlanta, Georgia, involving a Ram 1500 TRX, ended in a devastating crash. Keiwon Tucker, known to his followers as (@32scammgodd), streamed his frustrations with law enforcement on his Instagram page, specifically about what he perceived as harassment over the window tint on his TRX. Tragically, the events that followed led to a chase that ended in his untimely death.

The incident unfolded on Donald Lee Hollowell Parkway, where a Georgia State Patrol officer observed the suspect’s vehicle at a gas station. The officer noted that the front windshield was tinted with dark film, violating Georgia’s traffic laws. As the driver left the location and accelerated down Bolton Road, the officer followed, eventually deciding to report the pursuit as Tucker’s speed continued to increase.

The chase escalated as Tucker, driving the HELLCAT-powered pickup, maneuvered through the residential streets of Atlanta, reportedly reaching speeds that made the pursuit dangerous for the surrounding community. Throughout the chase, the pursuing officer had to slow down at times due to sharp curves and heavy traffic in the area, yet kept the suspect’s vehicle in sight.

Regular cars can easily evade police with a little fast driving and luck. All you have to do is put a little distance between you and the cop so you can disappear. Make a few turns, break line of sight, keep moving and then park the car out of sight. It doesn't require 500+ hp and crazy driving. Of course all of that means nothing if your plate number is identified either by the cop, his dashcam, traffic cams, etc..

Dummies get a fast car like this TRX and drive *way* beyond their abilities while adrenaline is flowing and always crash. Every time. Cops at least have minimal training to stay on the road while driving fast in traffic so all they have to do is wait for the inevitable wipe out so they can pick up the pieces.

I knew some crazy vatos that had tricked out bikes. The bikes were stock, nothing motorized to trick out since they are fast enough. They'd go at night, speed towards farm roads and their plate lights would shut off. One of em had his bike completely rhino lined for wipe outs.

Usually officer safety issue is the biggest argument against, say you stop a car at midnight, everything is blacked out, even the take down lights can't pierce the tint. How comfortable are you going to be to approach the car, not knowing if it is Grammy coming from bingo or 4 gangbangers with glock switches pointed at you.

I'd be willing to bet $1,000 he was known to local LEO for reasons beyond tinted windows. The police in Knoxville pulled me over a few times because of "illegal window tint" but I was heavily involved in drugs and other illegal shit at the time. They'd use it as an excuse to toss my car looking for other shit. I also ran from the police, many times, and hung out with a bunch of other shitheads that were up to no good.

I never understood the argument, thanks. Mainly, I never understood why anyone needed limo tint all around. I don't even like it on my rear window. It's hard to reverse and I don't trust cameras. I'm in Texas and even in the summer heat mid tint is more than enough.

As a kid I twice evaded LE, once in an 87 Toyota van, & once in a Datsun B210.
Very proud of that.

That being said, far removed from teenage-dom, I'd never try to escape LE in anything.
We're not in the 80's-90's anymore. Cameras & tech everywhere, & the chances of "escaping" totally without hurting oneself and/or others is stupidly low.

I ran from the Tallahassee police department once when they decided private property rights don’t exist and they can just walk into a party of underage drinkers. I bolted towards the woods. They were never going to catch me in those woods at night, I used to smoke weed in them with my friends and they weren’t showing up with a helicopter or a canine for an underage possession arrest.
