I would be counted then as I'm listening from my podcast app on my phone. I don't watch YouTube!
Between spotify, apple & youtube, this has to have at least 20 million views / listens. Maybe 25 million.

Way higher. I dont think Spotify releases its numbers for these podcasts. Years ago, before Spotify, I recall Joe or someone else saying he averaged between 20-50 million per episode. I see no reason that is not higher or at least held steady on Spotify. Its been up for 13 hours (overnight hours for much of the demographic) on YT and has nearly 12 mil.

Anyone that tries to say Trump is cognitively impaired in any way after spending years defending Biden's incessant gafs is a meely-mouthed hypocrite.

And after hearing Trump talk about abolishing income taxes in favor of tarrifs, no wonder the IRS' labor union endorsed Kamala.

I find it odd how you view this. Its like you see this as some Game of Thrones plotline. You think a thing should happen a certain way and when it doesnt you start to work backwards to explain why it didnt.

About 50% of JRE episodes are Joe's friends, maybe more. The rest are people making documentaries and writing books no one has ever heard of that Joe gives a platform to that end up being interesting a good portion of the time. Very few political episodes in general. Rogan gives almost zero fucks about who people want on his show and has on who he wants. Spotify already paid him, its his playground now and he can do what he wants.

Up until a year ago I didnt like Trump and voted third party in 2016 because I disliked him so much and no fuckin chance I voted for Hillary. He always struck me as some smug wealthy asshole, I saw him as the Apprentice guy and the guy who wrote The Art of the Deal, which was one of the worst sales related books I had ever read. There are a ton of people with similar stories and to some degree Rogan was one of them. People come around.

But there he is on the podcast and folks are still nitpicking about it.

Joe said himself prior to the assassination attempt many times he didn’t want to "give Trump airtime", and that he didn’t want to contribute to his cause.
As stated in this interview, the 3 main drivers were:
1 Dana White
2. RFK
3. "After you got shot & rose up bloody saying fight, I said to myself 'I gotta get him on' ".

25 years ago, who would've thought a lying sleezy promoter and a comedian on Newsradio moonlighting as a UFC announcer would turn the tide in changing the world.

Gozer:
Sub-creatures! Gozer the Gozerian, Gozer the Destructor, Volguus Zildrohar, the Traveller has come! Choose and perish!

Harris Staffer:
What do you mean, choose? We don't understand!

Gozer:
Choose! Choose the form of the Destructor!

Yeah that was my take on it for the most part. He like many people didnt care for him for whatever reason but came around as many people do, people around you see it different and over time your mind gets changed. Then we all saw a different side of his character after the attempt, which was undeniable.

The coverage by the media is as predicted. But overall, you guys think this gains Trump votes?
I think so. Despite what the media says about Rogan and the listeners there are no doubt a ton of moderates and even liberals who dont want Kamala but have been hesitant about Trump. Trump showed he can talk for hours about a wide range of topics and in many ways is really just a normal guy despite his life of wealth. He is funny, can shoot the shit about things outside of politics, and can hold/carry a real conversation without a teleprompter.

The Lincoln thing is pretty stupid but far from some damning gaffe. He also said something about not golfing despite almost being shot at a course. All in all very few gotcha moments and far more moments of him just being normal, level headed, and able to discuss a wide range of topics fairly well. He also clearly has a plan, unlike Kamala who's entire program is being "not Trump". That is the key factor, imo. He has a plan, he is thinking about this stuff, he is active, and he is working very hard to cover a lot of ground and seemingly doing it tirelessly. I think that resonates with the fence sitters more than anything Harris has said to date.

This is what the left is grasping at now

During former President Donald Trump's chat with Joe Rogan, a video of the podcast host defending Vice President Kamala Harris over the possibility she would appear on his show has taken off online on Saturday.

Trump, the GOP presidential nominee, sat down for an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience on Friday as part of his push to reach voters—namely, younger males—through nontraditional media circuits, such as streaming platforms and podcasts. Rogan's show consistently has among the largest audiences on platforms like Spotify.

Harris, the Democratic nominee, was also reportedly in talks with Rogan's team regarding an interview, but her campaign said on Thursday that she will not be able to record one "because of the scheduling of this period" in the election.

Rogan has been dubbed "libertarian-learning," by CNN. He has described himself as socially liberal, supports freedom of speech and is a fan of Florida GOP Governor Ron DeSantis, having previously said he would make a good president.

During Friday's interview, Trump and Rogan spoke about the possibility of Harris being on the podcast. However, as Trump began to take aim at Harris by saying, "She'd be laying on the floor," Rogan responded, "She was supposed to do it. And she might still do it. I hope she does."

"I hope she does because it would be a mess," the former president said. "She'd be laying on the floor. Comatose. She'd be saying 'Call in the medics.'"

Rogan responded: "I will talk to her like a human being. I would try to have a conversation with her. I think we'd have a fine conversation. I think I'd be able to talk to her. I wouldn't try to interview her. I'd just try to have a conversation with her and hopefully get to know her as a human being. That was my goal. Having her on, trying to get her to express herself..."

The video of the interaction has since been posted by journalist Yashar Ali to X, formerly Twitter, and has garnered over 2 million views as of Saturday morning.

This certainly puts to bed any claims of incoherence or cognitive decline.

It should, but it didn't. He tells a great detailed story about the Lincoln bedroom, the death of Lincoln's son which sent him and his wife (who were already prone to depression) into a deep funk. But he gets the son's name wrong. He said it was Tad. It was Willie. So, social media is full of libs saying that because the got the name wrong, it shows he has dementia. Never mind that 99 percent of them could name neither of Lincoln's sons until the Wikipediaed the story after Trump told it.
