Theres no wood to wood anywhere that I could see (except them building double or triple beam, it's all hangers and plates) they also brought spacing in to what looked to be 12" (maybe its 16" though). They used 2x10s, I think there's 1 triple beam and 4 double beams. It's 14x15 room with maybe 2 foot cantilever on the 3 sides.

I'm wondering if it's worth the $ to do the post/cradle. He recommended it but said it isn't necessary just that the far corners are weak points, which makes sense to me.

All I have seen is the pre-construction pics you shared, so it's hard to say with full confidence, but it seems like they've done the job correctly. General rule of thumb is, take the length of the room that the joists will span & divide that by two. That will give you the minimum joist depth needed. So a 16 ft long room would require a minimum 8" joist. If they used 2" x 10" joists, you should be plenty good on any potential sag. But if this is your forever home, and they're already there, having them add the posts may not be a bad idea. How much do they want to charge you?

I'll get a price and figure it out. He said this reframing would be right around 6k which I think is fair but I have no clue. I know it's probably 70% labor costs but I expect that for such a pain in the ass.

Hes a really good dude, hes on the site everyday with his crew and all of them are extremely polite, clean, and hard working. Hell, he had to run to grab something and brought me back coffee (and his crew). Even though this job is barely started I'm happy so far.
