Rumor on Twitter is that the killer's dad was wanted for war crimes in Rwanda and the UK's current prime minister was his lawyer and helped keep him from being extradited back to Rwanda and gaining permanent residence in the UK.

Just rumour for now, but if it turns out to be true then it's huge news.

Also, an interesting little factoid - I found this whilst digging, looks like the killer's father is a karate black belt:

What about Starmer?
Well, a lawyer representing someone in court isn't in any way illegal; however if it is true that he has a connection with the father, and that there has been a concerted effort by the government to cover that up, then he will inevitably be tried by the court of public opinion. That could theoretically lead to him stepping down as PM, or there could be a vote of no confidence in the Commons that forces him from office.

If it's true of course .
