I'll be getting a truck eventually.

Wound up canceling that order.

Found a good body shop. 433 bucks all in for the replacement.

The body shop I went to before that... 2800.

I hate places that work solely off insurance. Just like the medical industry, they're crooks.

I never really gave a shit about vehicles. Still don't.

But a truck would be handy.

I just don't know what the hell to look for because I have no interest in vehicles.

I'd be fine with one of the used Toyotas. Like ISIS.

I got super fucked by one of those places.
They pretended my frame wasn't bent so they could do 5K in repairs instead of totaling my vehicle like it should have been. Just wanted to, and did, charge my insurance instead of doing right by the customer and being honest about the damage. Truck ended up being totaled when I sought other professional and legal aid. If it was totaled they would have gotten zero payment, so they pretended it wasn't, to collect a small check. I did buy the truck back but haven't swapped frame.

We all buy the cost of our experience at a pretty heavy price, for sure me as well, but things do fall in place eventually - everyone in my household (wife and daughter ) now back in and drive out as an absolute rule so they have stoped hitting shit - which was pretty frequent….

A whole family that can't back out of a driveway properly sounds like a genetic issue. Praying for yall.

I've used the Carfax site. You can filter for one owners and consistent maintenance history. Any truck made in the last 15 years should be fine. I like Fords. I've had the Ecoboost and 5.0 and now the 3.3 naturally aspirated. All have been great. If you like Toyota search for them. Watch it for a few months and good deals will be found.

1st generation ridgelines are pretty solid trucks
I've had two Ridgeline. A 2017 and a 2023. Both great. First one ended up being my wife's truck after a few years then traded it for a Pilot. Second one I loved but the cabin was a bit small for me and I didn't like the high payment.

Highly capable vehicles. Ice fished with both. Camping. Taking them down no maintenance roads to get to hidden lake access. Never had issues. People make fun of them but they can do everything a non contractor needs a truck for flawlessly.

Also maybe the best vehicle in snow I've ever driven. It handled it so well it might as well have been dry summer pavement.

I would be surprised if CanadianMedic ever posts again after shitting on the ridgeline
