No, it's incumbent upon the vehicle behind to maintain a safe distance and speed. You get rear ended, it's their fault... this isn't prison rules.
In a situation like this I always leave room to get out and spend more time watching the mirror than the windshield. I’d rather get honked at to go than slammed in the ass because I didn’t see someone barreling up behind me. Ex-wife was 3 vehicles up from end of a line and work truck hit the last vehicle so hard that the vehicles up through 2 ahead of her were slammed into each other. The person immediately ahead of her jumped out and started cussing her thinking she hit him because she wasn’t looking. She told him if ever checked his mirror he would have seen that she was stopped behind home for a couple of minutes before the collision.
Been there too a few years back. Did the same thing the driver in the video did and watched the car behind me get hit by the car behind that one. If I hadn't moved then for sure the car behind me would've bumped into me as well so fuck all that...
I’ve detailed how I almost got killed by a woman who drilled me from behind while I was sitting at a light earlier this year. Fucked me up and am forever stuck with TBI in the frontal lobe

It's terrifying how many people get injured from rear end collisions at red lights. Shit happens way more often than you might think. It's prevented me from ever buying a motorcycle.
I got run off the expressway ramp a little over a decade ago by a semi in my little Sunfirr. Dude was falling asleep and drifting my way. I can't believe it until he is right on my 9. I try pulling over to the right and there is an f250 parked with a guy under the hood, easy kill for both of us. All I could think of was to fly off the ramp. My Sunfire hopped like a champ. The next day, I go to work and my axle splits right on my parking spot at work like a cartoon.
Yep, can't imagine the adrenaline dump he had after that, I'd probably pull over due to hands shaking so bad.
I just did that on I55 leaving New Orleans a couple months ago. Traffic stopped, truck coming behind us wasn't slowing down, I pulled over to shoulder and shrapnel from the crash landed on our hood but we didn't get a scratch. It took 3 ambulances to haul away casualties!

I had it happen on Rt128 in MA back when they were welding all the manhole covers on 128
The highway was limited to one lane bumper to bumper we all moved up like 40 yards, I was on a motorcycle saw the lady behind me start to move in my mirror I came to a stop checked the mirror again she was still accelerating now looking down not out the windshield when she got 20’ from me I bailed off the bike
She folded that bike almost in half into the car in front of me
