I was watching some clips of news coverage on this last night and it amazes me that I think there was immediate correct information posted here and the news programs had experts on that hours later got things completely wrong.
They were saying the gun kept jamming on him, that's why he kept manually putting a round in the chamber. Another was saying he was pausing in between to catch the casings as not to leave evidence.

He bought the Starbucks stuff and immediately threw it away to check if the phone pay system was going to work for the bike. I don't see this as a one man job. Someone provided him that phone or he stole it just before.
Hive mind is a great thing from people with different experiences versus some lone expert who thinks he knows everything.
