Crosstown Shootout today @ 2 PM
Xavier (8-2) @ Cincinnati (7-1)
These two colleges are about 3 miles apart from one another, and this game is always intense.
It's on ESPN+ today at 2 PM.
Xavier has won the last 5 meetings and I'm fucking sick of it.

The rivalry is always intense, but in 2011 there was a nasty brawl that made the 2 schools make some crazy changes to cool down the temperature for the annual matchup.
After that, they moved the game off campuses to a neutral site in downtown Cincinnati for 2 years.
Then they changed the name from "Crosstown Shootout" to "Crosstown Classic". LMAO. Everyone in Cincy still called it the shootout so go fuck yourself.
The local media also downplayed the "BIG GAME" a bit since that fight - and it certainly feels like less of an event. But for basketball fans in this area - this is THE GAME.

I wish man. We lost a 6’-10 starter who is really good and two guards (one a starter, the other got tons of time). We play really hard but don’t have the size or depth to beat most of these Top 15 teams who have size & depth. Especially on the road.

Lukosius (UC 2 guard) made me lose my fucking mind though. Up 6 with about a minute to go in the game and he fires up an NBA 3 with 10 seconds remaining on the shot clock. Not smart basketball. I scared the shit out of my wife I yelled so loud. Yelled even louder when he missed it.
X had an open 3 at the end to send it to OT but missed the shot.
Next up for UC is another tough local game vs Dayton.

Obviously I’m a UofL fan. Our team won a total of 12 games the past two years, under that fucking retard Kenny Payne. Thankfully we got Pat Kelsey from College of Charleston, and he came in with passion and confidence the program desperately needed. He went and got 11 guys from the portal and has them 11-5 (4-1 ACC). And they are fun to watch & easy to root for. They play their asses off.
We’re up by 1 at the half at 12-2 Pitt right now.

Pat is a good dude. He's a couple years younger than me but he grew up around here. I played against him in hoops as a kid.

Got it done. Hell of a game and a huge road win for the resume, like you said. Gets us to 12-5 (5-1 ACC). Second chance points and defense won them that game.

They've played well early in the year but are 0-3 in the Big 12. Losses to Arizona, Kansas St and Baylor.
They *should* make the tounament this year.
Yeah saw they are 0-3 in conference. That surprised me but I forgot they’re in the Big 12 now 🤦🏻. Step up in competition. Their defense looks good enough to get them to the tournament.
#2 is Edgerrin James kid. Good player.
#23 Mirchell is probably the best athlete on the team
#55 is a beast. 7 footer.
#41 is a shooter but he's been chucking bricks the last few games.

Cincy plays great D, but there are stretches when tbey can't hit a shot from anywhere. This was one of those games
